Floating Boards and Laminate Flooring

Though floating floor refers to the installation method, it is often used in reference with laminate flooring in a domestic context. By word it refers to floor but it is used to reduce noise or vibration. A domestic floating floor might be constructed over a subfloor or even over an existing floor. Laminate flooring is an alternative to traditional timber flooring options; it is made up of synthetic material and is highly durable and realistic in appearance to hardwood floors.
